Rath has been toiling hard to give this institution a splendid physical and cultural dimension – a shape in reality “Dreams come True”. DRIEMS is named after his father Late Sri Dhaneswar Rath a great social reformer. The College was established in the year 1999, the year of the super cyclone in Orissa. In fact, undaunted by the ravages of super cyclone, Mr. Rath kept up his creativity effort and started the college in a spirit of determination and dedication.
A magnificent Institute of Technical Education - DRIEMS has a well planned campus having pollution free environment located at Tangi on the outskirts, about 15 kms away from Cuttack, the Silver City of Orissa, beside the National Highway NH-5 and the Railway Station Kapilash Road. The principal architect of the institute – Mr. P. C. Rath, is such a worthy son who engineers a vision to drive home the ideas & shape the intellectual quest of the youth today. The institution, which was started with 155 students is now boasting of 2000 students has a vast and sprawling educational complex of five Institution a three years Diploma Programme, a Business School offering MBA Degree, an entry level +2 Science programme, and an Industrial Training Center – a complete technical education hub in the true sense. In true sense, DRIEMS has emerged as a pioneer venture in the field of Technological Education in the state of Orissa and a boon to students of Eastern India.
