The Department of Communicative English is continuing in the best traditions of academic life.As English language skills are of paramount importance in all national and international forums, the department transacts teaching and learning in a variety of interactive ways to enable the students to acquire English language skills needed in a highly competitive and globalised world.
The following areas are given due emphasis:
- Spoken English, Phonetics and Conversation all skills.
- Listening skills.
- Writing skills.
- Reading skills.
- Infail, the application of these skill are given paramount importance and students are trained to apply those in real-life situation.
Language Laboratory
The department has a well – equipped language laboratory to provide the students adequate practice in language activities, group discussion, public speaking and such other related skills.
Teaching Staff
The department has presently two members on the teaching staff. One Professor and two Lecturers. The department encourages projects on various aspects of Communicative English to suit to the needs of Engineering students.
