VASANTIKA – 2010 : The Spring Festival
Vasantika – 2010, the Annual Cultural Function of DRIEMS was held in the campus on 4th and 5th April, 2010 amidst fun and fiesta befitting to the dignity of the function. During two consecutive evenings entertainment programmes highlighted the talents of students in song, music, modern and classic dance that held the spectators spell bound. In fact, 8 hours of breath-taking performances were matched by the songs by Guest Artist- Rex D’souza (Fame Gurukul) & Priya Patel, who sang sweetly in pace with eye-catching dances. Above all, colourful fireworks, light and decorations defined the mood of abiding ecstasy of the audience. It was a grand success. |

ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS
The “Environment Cell” DRIEMS organized a Seminar on “Environmental Awareness” in the Institute’s Seminar Hall on 12th March 2008. It was a full-day programme of lectures, interactive questions and answer sessions and visual presentation. Distinguished Guests Dr. D.K. Behera, Senior Environmental Scientist, OSPCB, Orissa and Dr. S.N. Das, eminent Scientist, IMMT, Bhubaneswar were respectively Chief Speaker and Chief Guest on the occasion. |

VED – 2008
The ENTC department of DRIEMS organized a National Seminar on “VLSI Technology & Embedded Design” (VED – 2008) in the Institute’s Auditorium on 14th and 15th March 2008. Prof. Nilamani Mohanty, Retd., Director, ISRO and Prof. P.K. Pattnayak, Retd. Prof., IIT, Mumbai were Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Total number of participants were 200 and 12 papers were presented. A souvenir named VED – 2008 was released in the occasion.

NWOR – 2008
The department of Mathematics and Computer Science & Engineering organized a National level seminar on Operations Research: Modern Trends & Practices on Engineering Science and Management which was held from 29th February to 2nd March 2008 in DRIEMS campus. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of BPUT Dr. Omkar Nath Mohanty inaugurated the function and Prof. Arabinda Tripathy, Retd. Prof., IIM, Ahmmadabad delivered a stimulating and scientifically talk on soft and hard problems in Operations Research.

ANNUAL DAY FUNCION (07.03.2008)
The Annual Day Celebration of DRIEMS was held in Institute’s Auditorium on 7th March, 2008 at 7 p.m. His Excellency, the Governor of Orissa Shri Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare inaugurated the function and addressed the students on “Technical Education in India”. He expressed his appreciation of the vision and goal of DRIEMS. The massive infrastructure of DRIEMS attracted him deeply. He praised the warm hospitality of DRIEMS and its Founder Chairman Pramod Chandra Rath. He loved the exemplary discipline of students in a beautiful atmosphere of academic ambience. |
