Dean's Message

Welcome to the College of Science and Humanities

The College of Science and Humanities at SRMIST has witnessed exceptional growth since its inception in 2003. With a student strength of nearly 5200 students and a faculty strength of around 150, CSH is an ideal destination for attaining well-rounded, holistic education inside and outside the classrooms. Twenty departments offer 53 programs in total, 31 at the Bachelor’s and 20 at the Master’s level, and 2 Diploma. We offer Ph.D. programs in all the departments. The hallmark of the Education programs at the College of Science and Humanities at SRMIST is the delivery of research-led learning, practical knowledge, multicultural competence, and global awareness.
Our academic programs allow learners to cultivate cultural, social, and political insights, creativity, and critical thinking across various academic disciplines. The rich tradition of attracting students from all parts of India and other parts of the world, like South Asia, East Asia, and Africa, provides our students and faculty members with exposure to a multicultural environment.
The humanities and sciences investigate human values and human needs. They are an essential component of education and research that address global challenges, which is met at CSH by making every student here realize the originality of individuals on this planet. Understanding human intricacies are critical for developing the minds of our students so that they can maximize their abilities, adapt to the demands of our ever-changing world, and have a beneficial influence on society. Having these in mind, our faculty innovate new pedagogies through Interdisciplinary education and research–led teaching/ learning methods.
International experience is critical for future generations’ education. Many international opportunities are available to students to foster global citizens. Interested students of CSH may opt for a semester abroad program, and our faculty members here have the opportunity to visit Universities abroad through the faculty exchange programs respectively.
