NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India, Managed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It allows students from technical institutes, graduate and postgraduate programs at Indian colleges and universities to participate in a variety of community service activities and projects. The NSS’s only purpose is to provide young students with hands-on experience in community service delivery, transforming them into responsible citizens. The NSS Unit was established in the year 1999 and later on it was approved in 2017 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports , Government of India.
