Dr. Amiya Kumar Sahoo is an accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator with over 23 years of diverse experience spanning teaching, research and quality improvement. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has been extensively involved in academic leadership, curriculum design, research supervision, and the integration of emerging technologies into higher education. Throughout his career, Dr. Sahoo has served in various prestigious institutions under BPUT and is currently associated with DRIEMS University. He has held key positions including Dean and Head of Department, contributing significantly to academic development, faculty development programme and the implementation of institutional quality frameworks such as NBA and Outcome-Based Education (OBE).His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science. He has several Scopus-indexed publications and patents to his credit and is the author of the book Data Science and Machine Learning using Python, published by Scientific International Publishing House. Dr. Sahoo actively participates in national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), both as a speaker and convenor. He is a life member of several professional societies, including The Institution of Engineers (India), the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Computer Society of India (CSI).
