He is currently working as Professor of Chemistry in the School of Natural Sciences of DRIEMS University. He has passed M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Ravenshaw College and was awarded the Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Utkal University in 2003. He was a Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF) in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and has done higher research in the field of Organometallics. He is an ex-Odisha Education Service (OES) officer of College Branch and has already served as Lecturer, Asst. Prof and Reader in many Govt. Colleges and Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla in the state of Odisha. He has also served in various administrative positions like Registrar of VSSUT, Burla, Dy. COE of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Govt. of Odisha. He has published more than 20 research papers in different reputed national and international journals. One research student has already been awarded Ph.D. degree under his guidance. He is a Fellow of International Congress of Chemistry & Environment (FICCE) and life member of Odisha Chemical Society.
