Dr. Chandan Kumar Sethi
Assistant Professor
Dr. Chandan Kumar Sethi is an esteemed academician and researcher currently working as the
Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department at the School of Engineering and
Technology, DRIEMS University, Odisha. With a strong academic background, holding
B.Tech, PGTE, M.Tech, MBA, PGDEMA & PhD degree. He has completed his PhD from
SOA Deemed to be University, Odisha.
He has over 6 years of teaching experience and 3 years of research experience, contributing
significantly to academics and innovation. His areas of expertise include thermodynamics, heat
transfer, solar energy, refrigeration, and internal combustion engines. He is skilled in CAD
design, FEA simulations, and software tools like AutoCAD, ANSYS, and SolidWorks.
Dr. Sethi has served in various academic and administrative roles, including Assistant
Professor and Associate Dean (Academics and IQAC). He has actively contributed to
institutional development as a convenor, coordinator, and SPOC for multiple academic
initiatives and innovation cells. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt holder and has
completed advanced training programs, including one at IIT Bombay.
A dedicated researcher, he has published 15 number of numerous papers in reputed SCIE,
Scopus, and international journals, mainly focusing on solar energy systems and engine
performance. He has also organized and participated in various national and international
workshops, FDPs, and conferences.
Dr. Sethi is a lifetime member of several professional bodies such as ISTE, IAENG, and ISRD.
He is known for his leadership qualities, strong communication skills, and commitment to
academic excellence.
