Dr. Sritam Swapnadarshi Sahu
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, HOD
Dr. Sritam Swapnadarshi Sahu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering
at DRIEMS University. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from IIT Guwahati and has more
than five years of academic and research experience in the field of civil engineering. His areas of
specialization include concrete technology, lightweight and foam concrete, sustainable
construction materials, special concretes, and advanced building materials.
His research primarily focuses on the development and performance evaluation of foam
concrete, optimization of surfactants and additives, concrete microstructural characterization,
and the application of Response Surface Methodology (RSM) for optimizing concrete materials
and mix designs. His research contributions include several publications in reputed journals and
conferences, along with two published patents related to foam stabilization and enhanced
foam-concrete production.
Prior to joining DRIEMS University, He has more than five years of academic experience and has
held academic leadership positions, including Head of the Department and Associate Head of
the Department. He has successfully guided 32 BTech projects and 1 MTech project, while
currently guiding 8 BTech projects and 4 Ph.D. scholars. His research interests encompass foam
concrete, high-strength concrete, special concrete, sustainable construction materials, and
concrete microstructural characterization.
Dr. Sahu has also delivered several expert and guest lectures at engineering institutions on
advanced concrete technologies, foam concrete, and sustainable construction materials. At
DRIEMS University, he contributes to teaching, research, innovation, project supervision, and
academic development in the field of Civil Engineering.
