Dr. Satyaprakash Rout
ASST. PROFESSOR
Dr. Satyaprakash Rout is currently working as an Assistant Professor in
the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering and
Technology, DRIEMS University, Odisha, India. He received his B.Tech.
degree in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and the M.Tech. degree in
Power System Engineering in 2014 from Biju Patnaik University of
Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Odisha, India. He has been awarded the
Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2026 from Vellore Institute of
Technology (VIT), Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. His doctoral research
focused on robust state-of-charge estimation of lithium-ion batteries using
advanced adaptive Kalman filtering techniques.
From 2013 to 2021, he served as an Assistant Professor at Dhaneswar
Rath Institute of Engineering and Management Studies, Cuttack, Odisha.
From 2021 to March 2025, he worked as a Research Assistant in the
School of Electrical Engineering at VIT, Vellore. He has more than 13
years of teaching experience and over four years of dedicated research
experience in battery management systems.
His research interests include battery management systems, battery
modeling, battery state estimation, advanced filtering and optimization
techniques, electric vehicles, and renewable energy systems. He has
published six research papers in reputed national and international
conferences and in SCI-, ESCI-, and SCOPUS-indexed journals,
including IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification and
IEEE Access. He also serves as a reviewer for leading journals such as
IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, IEEE Access, and
Springer journals (Electrical Engineering, npj Artificial Intelligence,
Ionic, and Scientific Reports). He actively participates in faculty
development programs, seminars, and workshops at national and
international levels and remains committed to academic excellence,
research innovation, and the advancement of electrical engineering."
