DRIEMS University successfully organized an Anti-Drugs Awareness Sensitization Programme on “Drugs and Their Ill-Effects on Our Society”, bringing together students, faculty, and distinguished dignitaries for a meaningful initiative toward a drug-free future.
We were honored to host eminent guests including Mr. Kuldeep Sharma (Zonal Director, NCB Bhubaneswar), Mr. Hrudaya Kumar Das (IRS, Assistant Director, NCB), along with representatives from Faith Charitable Trust.
The session shed light on the severe impact of drug abuse, while inspiring young minds to make responsible and informed life choices. A powerful moment during the programme was when students, faculty members, Deans, and Directors collectively took an oath to stay away from drugs and actively prevent others from falling into addiction.
A deeply moving recovery story shared by a survivor highlighted the transformative support of Faith Charitable Trust, reinforcing the message that change is always possible.
Mr. Jaygopal Mohanty, Counsellor, emphasized that the true wealth of a nation lies in its people, and that health and character define a strong society.
The programme was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Kumar Hota (Vice Chancellor), Sj. Balaram Kar (Director Administration), Prof. Lokanath Behera (Director, Student Relations), Prof. (Dr.) Alok Ranjan Biswal (Director, IQAC), Sj.
