A distinguished academician with a career spanning over 27 years,
Prof. (Dr.) Jamini Ranjan Mohanty brings a wealth of expertise in both institutional
administration and scholarly research. His academic journey is marked by high-level
research excellence, most notably evidenced by his completion of a Post-Doctoral
Fellowship from Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT ) Bombay in 2008.
Beyond the classroom, Dr. Mohanty has established himself as a seasoned
administrator within the Odisha educational ecosystem. He has held the position of
Deputy Controller of Examination at the Council of Higher Secondary Education
(CHSE), Bhubaneswar, and served in similar leadership capacities at S.B. Women’s
College and Dhenkanal (Autonomous) College. Additionally, he has contributed as
Registrar at VSSUT, Burla. His commitment to research mentorship is reflected in
his successful guidance of doctoral candidates, including the supervision of a Ph.D.
scholars at VSSUT, Burla.
Dr. Mohanty is a prolific researcher with more than 20 publications in
prestigious National and International journals. His global perspective on
contemporary issues is highlighted by his international seminar presentations on
"Environment Protection." Throughout his career, he has been the recipient of
numerous high-profile accolades, including the “Man of the Year – 2000” by ABI,
USA, the Rajiv Gandhi State Award for "Popular Scientist," and the Bharat Vidya
Shiromoni from the Indian Solidarity Council. He has also been honoured with the
Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Gold Medal by the IIEM, New Delhi, further cementing his
reputation as a leader in higher education.
