Foundation Course Week (18–24 Nov 2025) for the MBBS Batch 2025
On the occasion of Foundation Course Week (18–24 Nov 2025) for the MBBS Batch 2025, the closing ceremony was inaugurated by our Chairman, Dr. Pramod Chandra Rath, DRIEMS University, along with Prof. Dr. B. N. Mohapatra, Dean and Principal, DIHSH, Dr. M. K. Mandal, Dr. Arpita Priyadarsini, Dr. Prangyada Reecha Joshi, Dr. Bulu Mahanty, Mr. Pradyut Sarangi and other faculty members at Padmini Auditorium on 24 November 2025.
Our Chairman shared his inspiring thoughts and warmly welcomed the students to the DRIEMS family. The Dean, course coordinators and faculty members also addressed the students and encouraged them for the journey ahead.
A session titled Why I Want to Be a Doctor was conducted, where the new MBBS students spoke about their inspirations and the experiences that motivated them to choose this profession.
Students were also briefed on rules and regulations, ethics, time management, communication skills, Basic Life Support, first aid, mentor–mentee systems, spiritual well-being and more. Discussions also covered anti-ragging measures, gender sensitisation, emotional well-being and the various platforms available for showcasing their talents.
With this, our Chairman Dr. Pramod Chandra Rath and Dean and Principal Dr. B. N. Mohapatra formally welcomed the students to a meaningful and transformative MBBS journey at the scenic DRIEMS campus.
