- Prof. (Dr.) K.K. Rout served as a Technical Expert at the National Level Working Group Meeting on “Policy Engagement under the Multi-Stakeholder Platform NAVROS Odisha State-Level Event & Launch of Odisha Chapter” on 24.11.2025.
- Prof. (Dr.) K.K. Rout has been appointed as a Member of the Research Advisory Committee at ICAR–NRC on Litchi, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, for the period 09.10.2025 to 08.10.2028, and participated in meetings held on 12–13 March 2026.
- Prof. (Dr.) K.K. Rout served as a Member of the Quinquennial Review Team (QRT) at ICAR–NRC on Litchi, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, from 01.04.2020 to 31.03.2025.
- Prof. (Dr.) K.K. Rout delivered the prestigious 30th Motiramani Memorial Lecture of the Indian Society of Soil Science.
