On October 3,2024, students from the fashion department at DRIEMS University, Tangi, organised a vibrant garba festival to celebrate Navaratr, inviting faculty and students from various department. The event showcased performances of nine avtaras of Maa Durga, accompanied by traditional Garba dancing. Attendees enjoyed a variety of delicious food while engaging in discussions about the festival’s significanc. This celebration fostered cultural appreciation and community bondin, highlighting the rich traditions of Navaratri throug dance, devotio, and shared experiences among participant. This festival successfully created a lively atmosphere and showcased unity within the various department, making it a memorable day for all.

On December 24,2024, students from the fashion department at DRIEMS University celebrated Christmas at Padmini Care Hospita, spreading joy and kindness among the patients and hospital staffs. One of the student donned a Santa costum, distributing chocolates to children. Senior authorities from the hospital and the College joined the festivitie, enhancing the spirit of the occasion. The celebration included cake- cutting, with slices shared among patient, their familie, the hospital staff. The padmini Care hopistals staff members played a big role in arranging this festival with the hospita. This heartwarming event showcased the students commitment to community services and highlighted the importance of compassion during the holiday seaso, creating cherished memories for all involved.

On December 21, 2024, department of fashion design Of DRIEMS University showcased their innovative garments at the Odisha Fashion Week held at Landscape Venture, Puri Bypass Road, Bhubaneswa. Their collection, titled “blurange rust,” creatively blended traditional khadi and cotton fabrics with check print, embodying a unique street style that was both energetic at subtl. The event highlighted the students’ creativity and design skills, contributing to the vibrant fashion scene in Odisha. This platform provided them an opportunity to express their artistic vision and connect with industry professional, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey.

On September, 14, 2024, School of Fashion Design students at DRIEMS University, celebrated Onam with a vibrant showcase of traditional attire and jeweller. Dressing in elegant Onam outfit, they adorned the venue with beautiful rangoli and festive decoration, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. This event served as a styling project cantered around the Onam theme, allowing students to express thei Creativity while honoring cultural traditions. The celebration highlighted the joy of the festiva, fostering sense of community and appreciation for different culture through fashion and artistry.

On December, 02,2024, The school of fashion design students at DRIEMS University, attended a seminar conducted by Lakmé Academiy, focusing on daily grooming standards and beauty professionalism. The session emphasized the importance of personal grooming in the fashion industry and provided insights into future career opportunities. Students learned about maintaining beauty standards and enhancing their professional image. On24th of February, 2024, Students of school of Fashion Design at Driems University, gain Hands-On Weaving & Dyeing Expertise First- and second-year students completed a month-long immersive training at a Weaver’s Service Center, mastering textile techniques like natural dyeing and weaving. The program emphasized skill development in traditional and sustainable methods, aligning with eco-friendly practices in fiber arts. Participants explored material preparation, dye extraction, and fabric construction under expert guidance, fostering creativity and technical proficiency in textile craftsmanship
