Physics Laboratory
The Physics Laboratory at School of Natural Sciences, DRIEMS University, Cuttack, a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance the learning and practical experience of students pursuing Engineering and Master of Science courses. Our laboratory is an essential part of the curriculum, providing students with the opportunity to explore, experiment, and apply fundamental principles of physics to real-world engineering as well as scientific problems. It serves as a dynamic learning environment where theoretical principles meet practical application. From mechanics to electromagnetism, optics to thermodynamics, our laboratory covers a broad range of fundamental topics critical to engineering and science disciplines. In addition to this, the department also consist of material synthesis research lab for doctoral program. This lab provides a hands-on environment, where students and researchers explore the synthesis of materials with tailored physical, chemical, and mechanical properties for applications across various engineering and scientific fields. Equipped with cutting-edge tools and instrumentation, the lab supports a wide range of synthesis techniques; which enable the creation of metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, and nanostructured materials with enhanced functionalities. The well experienced faculty members, who are experts in their respective fields, guide students through experiments, offering valuable insights and support throughout the learning process. They ensure that students not only understand the theoretical aspects of physics but also gain a deeper appreciation of how physics underpins engineering design and real-world applications.

LASER Laboratory

The Laser Physics School of Natural Sciences, DRIEMS University, Cuttack where cutting-edge laser technologies converge with theoretical and applied physics to provide students with an in-depth understanding of this fascinating field. As a part of the Engineering and Master of Science curriculum, our Laser Physics Laboratory offers students a unique opportunity to explore the principles, applications, and advancements in laser science, while gaining practical experience with modern laser systems. The Laser Physics Laboratory is equipped with advanced laser systems and diagnostic tools, making it an ideal environment for students to experiment with the latest developments in laser science. From basic principles to real-world applications, our lab provides the essential equipment for exploring the core concepts of optics, quantum mechanics, and photonics. Students actively engage in experiments that apply theoretical concepts from the classroom to practical scenarios.
