As the HOD, I am delighted to lead a team of exceptional mathematicians who are dedicated to academic excellence and innovative research. Our department is committed to providing a stimulating environment for students to explore the beauty and importance of mathematics.

We offer a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of mathematical disciplines, from pure mathematics to applied mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education. Our experienced faculty members are passionate about teaching and research, and are always willing to support students in their academic journey.

Our research focus areas include algebra, analysis, geometry, number theory, Applied Mathematics, mathematical physics and Fluid Dynamics among others. We encourage students to participate in research projects and present their work at conferences and seminars.

I am proud of our department’s achievements and our students’ success stories. We have a strong track record of producing talented mathematicians who go on to excel in various fields, from academia to industry.

If you are passionate about mathematics, I invite you to join our department and be part of our vibrant mathematical community. Let us explore the wonders of mathematics together and make a difference in the world.

ABOUT

The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1999. Now it comes under the School of Natural Sciences, DRIEMS University. It has grown to be one of the best Departments of Mathematics of the Indian Universities. It has been recognized as Centre of Advanced Studies in Mathematics. It currently offers Postgraduate and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics. The Department is facilitated with two well-equipped computing labs and fully equipped Seminar Room with all the latest infrastructural facilities of a smart class room. At present, the Department has seven regular faculty members. Several Faculty Members of the Department are members of various National Boards and Committees, Editorial boards of Journals and the Board of Studies and other academic bodies of other Universities in addition to those of DRIEMS University. Most of the faculty members actively collaborate with international community and have regularly visited several Universities across the globe. They regularly participate in national and international conferences.

Vision

To foster a deep appreciation for mathematics through discovery, innovation, critical thinking, empowering diverse minds to collaborate, solve global challenges, unlock the universal beauty and power of mathematical truth.
