DRIEMS University Signs MoU with NIRMAAN to Empower Students with Future-Ready Skills

DRIEMS University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NIRMAAN, a leading non-profit organisation, on 5 August 2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening collaboration in education, skill development, entrepreneurship, health and well-being, community leadership, and future-ready youth development.

Supported, funded, and certified by the Infosys Foundation under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, NIRMAAN will implement the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) for the benefit of DRIEMS University students.

Under this initiative, final-year and pass-out students will have access to free industry-oriented training in:

  • Java
  • Full Stack Development
  • ITES Soft Skills
  • Impact Hiring

Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive certificates from NIRMAAN along with 100% placement assistance in reputed companies across India.

The collaboration is aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and evolving industry requirements by equipping students with relevant technical, professional, and employability skills. Through this initiative, DRIEMS University continues its commitment to creating meaningful career pathways and preparing students to confidently meet the demands of the modern workforce.

The MoU initiative was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Biswaranjan Mohanty, Dean, Research & Development, DRIEMS University, and Dr. Amiya Kumar Sahoo, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology.

The MoU exchange ceremony was held in the gracious presence of Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Kumar Hota, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Ramakanta Panigrahi, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Shri Balaram Kar, Director – Administration; Mrs. Chinmayee Rath, Director – Coordination; Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Sahoo, Dean, School of Management; Mr. Loknath Behera, Director – Student Relations; and Prof. Alok Ranjan Biswal, Director, IQAC, representing DRIEMS University.

Representing NIRMAAN were Mr. Biranchi Kumar Sahoo, Centre Manager, and Mr. Rakina Satapathy, Placement Manager.

Hon’ble Chairman Dr. Promod Chandra Rath and the esteemed members of the Governing Body appreciated this strategic collaboration and expressed confidence that the partnership would significantly enhance student employability, strengthen industry-academia engagement, and open new avenues of career growth for the youth.
