The School of Pharmacy, DRIEMS University proudly celebrated World Pharmacist Day 2026 on 25th September 2026 at the Padmini Auditorium, DRIEMS University Campus, with enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members.
The celebration commenced with a vibrant Welcome Dance, followed by the ceremonial Lamp Lighting and Bouquet & Badge Presentation. The programme brought together distinguished dignitaries of DRIEMS University and the Chief Guest, Mr. Hrushikesh Mahanta, Retd. Chief Pharmacist, who addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights on the pharmacy profession and its contribution to healthcare.
The programme highlighted the essential role of pharmacists in healthcare, education, patient well-being and society. The addresses also encouraged students to develop professional competence, uphold ethical values and contribute meaningfully to the evolving healthcare sector.
The celebration served as an inspiring platform for pharmacy students to understand the broader responsibilities of the profession and appreciate the significant contribution pharmacists make towards better health outcomes.
Vote of Thanks
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Kanhu Charan Panda, Professor, School of Pharmacy, DRIEMS University, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, students and everyone who contributed to the successful organisation of the programme.
