DRIEMS University, Tangi, Cuttack, hosted the Orientation Programme 2026 – “Aarambh” for the School of Pharmacy on 17th September 2026 at the Padmini Auditorium, DRIEMS University Campus.
The programme marked a warm and inspiring beginning for the newly admitted pharmacy students, welcoming them into the DRIEMS academic community and introducing them to the values, opportunities and aspirations that will shape their academic and professional journey.
The event was graced by Mr. Mangal Jyoti Das, Drugs Inspector, CDSCO, Government of India, as the Guest of Honour & Keynote Speaker, and Prof. (Dr.) Pravat Kumar Sahoo, Director, DIPSAR, New Delhi, as the Chief Guest.
The programme also witnessed the presence and valuable addresses of distinguished dignitaries:

The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome dance and invocation, setting an auspicious tone for the occasion. The newly admitted students were formally welcomed through the presentation of bouquets and badges.
The event further featured insightful addresses by the dignitaries, offering students valuable perspectives on pharmacy education, professional growth, innovation and the responsibilities of becoming future healthcare professionals. The engaging keynote session by the Guest of Honour & Keynote Speaker added further depth and inspiration to the programme.
“Aarambh” served as more than an orientation—it was the beginning of a meaningful academic journey, encouraging students to embrace learning, explore new opportunities and develop the knowledge and skills required to contribute to the field of pharmacy.
With new aspirations and renewed enthusiasm, the School of Pharmacy welcomed its newest members into the DRIEMS family.
