DRIEMS University paid heartfelt tributes to the revered Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das by organizing a Shraddhanjali Sabha at his statue on the university campus. The solemn occasion was observed with deep respect and gratitude, commemorating the life and legacy of one of Odisha’s greatest sons.
The floral tribute ceremony was attended by the Hon’ble Chairman, distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, staff, and students, who gathered to pay homage to the legendary freedom fighter, social reformer, journalist, and educationist. Participants reflected on his remarkable contributions to society and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
Remembered as the “Utkalmani” or “Jewel of Odisha,” Gopabandhu Das dedicated his life to promoting education, social justice, humanitarian service, and national development. His ideals of selfless service, compassion, integrity, and leadership continue to inspire generations across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, members of the university community emphasized the importance of upholding the values championed by Gopabandhu Das and carrying forward his vision of an educated, compassionate, and progressive society.
