The Beginning of New Dreams, New Experiences & New Possibilities
The School of Engineering & Technology, DRIEMS University, warmly welcomed its new batch of students with the inaugural ceremony of “Aarabdh – Student Induction Programme 2026.” The occasion marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey filled with new opportunities, experiences, friendships, and possibilities.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Nayan Rajan Samal, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology; Dr. Alok Ranjan Biswal, Associate Dean, School of Engineering & Technology & Director, IQAC; Dr. Anurekha Nayak, Chairperson, Academic Council Committee & HOD, Electrical Engineering; Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sahoo, Dean, School of Humanities & Social Sciences; and Mr. Rashmi Ranjan Samal, Vice Chairman, Academic Council Committee & HOD, Department of Chemistry, along with other distinguished faculty members and Heads of Departments.
Inspiring the New Generation
The Heads of Departments shared inspiring thoughts, valuable guidance, and words of encouragement with the newly inducted students. Their interactions focused on the importance of academic excellence, discipline, curiosity, innovation, and active participation in making the most of their university experience.
The insightful addresses created an encouraging atmosphere and helped the students begin their academic journey with confidence, enthusiasm, and a clear sense of purpose.
Exploring the DRIEMS Campus
Following the inaugural ceremony, the newly inducted students participated in a campus familiarisation visit. They explored various parts of the DRIEMS University campus, gaining an understanding of the academic facilities, learning environment, infrastructure, and vibrant student life.
The campus visit provided the students with an opportunity to become familiar with their new surroundings and discover the various facilities and spaces that will support their academic and personal development throughout their university journey.
