DRIEMS University successfully organised “NAVODIT – Rise to Excellence,” the induction programme for the School of Allied & Healthcare Sciences, on 10 October 2026 at the Padmini Auditorium. The programme marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the incoming students, welcoming them into an environment dedicated to academic excellence, professional development, ethical values, and compassionate healthcare service.
The programme commenced with the arrival of the distinguished guests, followed by the DRIEMS anthem, a welcome dance performance, and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge, wisdom, hope, and new beginnings.
The occasion was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Umakanta Satpathy, Chief Guest; Dr. Pramod Chandra Rath, Chairman, DRIEMS University; Prof. (Dr.) Gopal Krishna Nayak, Vice-Chancellor; Sj. Balaram Kar, Director, Administration; Prof. (Dr.) Nirupama Chayani, Director, School of Allied & Healthcare Sciences; Dr. Durga Prasad Mishra, Dean, School of Allied & Healthcare Sciences; Prof. Lokanath Behera, Director, Student Relations; Prof. (Dr.) Lucy Das; and Prof. (Dr.) Sakti Prasad Das, along with faculty members and other distinguished dignitaries.
The speakers addressed the newly inducted students and encouraged them to pursue academic excellence, uphold professional ethics, develop a compassionate approach towards patient care, and acquire the knowledge and practical skills essential for success in the healthcare sector. They emphasised the importance of discipline, dedication, continuous learning, and human values in shaping competent and responsible healthcare professionals.
A special highlight of the programme was the felicitation of the Chief Guest by the Chairman, Dr. Pramod Chandra Rath, reflecting the university’s respect and appreciation for distinguished contributions to education and society.
