The School of Nursing at DRIEMS University proudly celebrated the International Day of the Midwife on May 5th, 2025, at Padmini Care, recognizing the invaluable contributions of midwives to maternal and newborn health.
 
As part of the celebration, nursing faculty presented heartfelt tokens of appreciation to the dedicated midwives serving in the Labour and Gynaecology wards, acknowledging their tireless efforts and compassion.
 
The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests including Prof. (Dr.) Pratima Mishra, MD (O&G), Senior Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Padmini Care; Prof. N. Premlata Devi, Associate Dean, School of Nursing; Mr. Nirakar Sahoo, PRO, DRIEMS University; Ms. Priyadarshini Maharana, Assistant Deputy Nursing Superintendent at Padmini Care; and faculty members Mrs. Urmila Swain and Ms. Sangeeta Naik, Assistant Professors, along with the team from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing.
 
The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to those who bring life into the world and stand as pillars of strength during the most critical moments of care.
